Silica Gel for Beer
Characteristic:
Silica gel for beer is a kind of non-crystalline and micro-porous
solid powder, pore diameter is 8-16 nm. The chemical molecular
formula is mSiO2¡¤nH2O. It is nontoxic, tasteless, flame-resisting
and non-explosive, and it is insoluble in water or any other
solvent (except for caustic soda and hydrofluoric acid). It
does not react with any acid, alkali or salt, so has high
stability under hot and cold atmosphere and is harmless to
human body, mainly used in beer industry.

Note:
1. Due to large specific surface area and pored structure,
it can prolong beer storage period by 180-240 days and keep
beer from being cold muddy.
2. It does not affect the beer foam or taste.
3. It helps improving the filter promoting effect. It can
be a good promoter with diatomite filter, and make beer brighter
and clearer.
4. While used, the amount of fine diatomite can be reduced
according to the amount of beer silica gel, in order not to
affect the filtered amount.
5. If the starting filter pressure is too fast and affects
the output, we can supply of fast filtering speed.
